Its west part is in Europe and east part is in Asia. The important waterline
dividing Istanbul into two is the Bosphorus…

A mystical charm surrounds you as you watch the beauty of the historical city and
listen to the whispering sound of the splashing water from a ferry...

About two years ago, at around sunset-when the sky was a blend of pink, yellow and blue,
I was standing at the back of a ferry by myself. It was a windy day...and for the first time,
the romance in the city captured me. It was one of those moments that you can never
forget in your life. It was one of those awakenings that appear when you find a new
meaning in something you have seen millions of times. That day, romance was all around the city.
Since then I have been calling Istanbul, 'the city of romance'. But romance is a personal feeling
and it is within us and it travels with us. Everything else brings ambiance.
