Writing is a sophisticated form of thinking.

Thinking prepares you to perceive properly and act intelligently.

If you don’t think things through, particularly difficult things, then you are likely to make serious mistakes, and to hurt yourself and other people.

How many of you in the management teams ever write things to think through and present them at the board meeting?

Amazon asks his meeting members to write down what they will present-as oppose to having them prep power points. Jeff Bezos and his team may know something most don’t.
